The best method is working with your horse…not on your horse. Let’s work together to make lasting change.
Horses are stoic, by nature. Your horse could be suffering and you’d never know it—one of their super powers is to hide their vulnerabilities. They’re prey animals. Their instinct is to not show weakness, ever. This survival instinct has been honed over millions of years. This natural behavior makes it crucial for us to develop the ability to identify the pains and discomforts they may be facing.
Healing Touch and Movement for Horses is a gentle, non-invasive approach that focuses on the body's connective tissues, including the fascia, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It promotes deep relaxation, alleviates hypertonic and traumatized muscles, enhances muscle tone, supports injury recovery, and restores freer movement.
Your session will include an assessment of your horse in movement, observing different gaits; a hands-on assessment to evaluate muscle tone and all-over appearance. Following the assessment, I do treatment, using gentle, non-invasive touch on muscles and bones. With each deliberate touch and gentle movement, I am sending signals to the horse's nervous system. It is a delicate dance between human and animal, a conversation without words. The horse learns how to organize his body with more ease and awareness, resulting in freer movement. In this way, we can uncover the root cause of the horse's issues and provide true healing.
